  2. hi Mukhtar,

Although it is impossible to tell the physical differences between male and female mosquitoes with the naked eye, it is easy enough to find the distinctness when the mosquito is placed under a microscope or magnifying glass.

    Male MosquitoSpeaking of Looks
In terms of physical appearance, the mosquito’s proboscis, a long, needle-like antenna that extends from the area of its mouth, is the best indication of the insect’s gender. Male mosquitoes have a feather-like proboscis, while the proboscis of the female mosquito is relatively smooth, not bushy.

  3. hi Siddarth,

Surface tension is the energy required to break through the surface or to disrupt a liquid drop and spread the material out as a film. Water has an anomously high surface tension - 7.2 X 10^9 N/m, the highest of any liquid - in large part due to its powerful hydrogen bonding, and as a result water forms spherical droplets because that is the shape that minimizes surface area for any given volume.

an example could be , when an object is placed onto water, it behaves to a certain degree as if it were a sheet of elastic material. This is called surface tension and can be readily observed by placing a piece of grass on water. As water tends to stick to itself, it can be thought of as a sheet - when the density is too great the sheet will "snap" (or sink) but otherwise it can support it (float).

  4. hi Hinal,

One reason would be vitamin D deficiency.Vitamin D is integrally important because it is a group of fat soluble secosteroids. In simple terms, the vitamin can actually synthesize the sun’s rays making it more beneficial to the body rather than being destructive and skin darkening. The vitamin also protects the skin from the sun’s toxic damage and prevents DNA damage through prolonged sun exposure. Nevertheless, some people dread this kind of vitamin because it is basically activated through sun exposure. However, vitamin D sun exposure is not something to fret about. Severe and prolonged sun exposure causes the damages, not the minimal ones. Therefore, sun exposure must be controlled but not definitely prohibited. Skin exposure is still important. Complications may possibly happen if you don’t get enough sun exposure.
